BUSY, BUSY, BUSY...

Seems like a whirlwind right now! The house is moving quickly and our final walkthrough is on June 23rd. If all goes well we should have keys to our first (bought) home June 28th!! I was so sure the day would never come and the house would never get finished that it makes me think that the other big things going on are going to sneak up just as quickly...

Baby Sadler is hard at work trying to gain some weight!!! Her length and head circumference were all perfect, she just didn't quite have enough of a tummy... strange because that seems to be all I have at the moment! So for the last few weeks we have been trying to fatten up the little girl but I was still getting sick a lot; however, I haven't been sick in 3 days!! Seems like such a small thing but is very important to making sure London packs on some pounds!

We go back for an extra sonogram on June 2nd to see if we've made any progress with her weight gain, which I feel like she has. Her kicks are stronger, her weight is more noticable and well, my stomach is getting pretty round!

REGISTRY...

Oh my goodness, children need a LOT of stuff! We went this weekend to start registering for all the things London may (or may not) need... Babie's R Us is NOT a fun place once you really need all this stuff! We went over to Pottery Barn Kids first since they have a bunny theme going at the moment and that is the motif for her nursery. Then we went to Babie's R Us to register for the basic things we will use everyday. Target was the last place we registered because they have things that are practical and cute. I don't think I was quite ready for the sheer AMOUNT of things recommended for a baby!

HOUSE UPDATE...

Wow, our house is going up QUICK! It now has the frame, roof frame, and exterior walls started. Windows and doors are up too! Shouldn't be too long now! My dad came out Sunday to look at where the back porch is going to go and looks like we will be able to have a pretty nice sized porch... a good thing because Sookie, our prissy dog, doesn't enjoy being outside so maybe we can trick her into loving the porch! Updates to come!

AND HER NAME IS...

London Pearl Sadler!

Scott picked it and we love it!

I had all but given up hope of finding a girl name I liked when Scott came up with this one... it's not a normal everyday name but it isn't crazy or weird... perfect!

VEGAS...

Scott is just plain good at his job... he won an all inclusive trip to Vegas to celebrate! We were so excited... then I remembered there was a rather fragile being inside my tummy... Needless to say, I was a little worried about how the trip would turn out. And, it turns out it would contain one of the coolest moments of my life.

I was nervous about the plane ride (not quite as nervous as Scott, obviously...) and I felt pretty sick the entire time. Baby did great though... I know this because after that she began a new phase of real movement! I can now feel the weight of her all the time and she moves about 6 or 8 times a day just to remind me she's still there. It's the coolest/ creepiest thing ever!

She has a spot on my right side where she mostly camps out and she seems to get mad and push against me if I move in a way that pushes her out of her favorite spot. It's funny to me that I can start to interperet little quirks about her. It makes her seem real.

Scott is trying to be patient about getting to feel her move. He can feel where she is but not her movements. I guess that will come soon! It is so strange to think we are probably halfway done!

We have a doctor's appointment Friday to check on our little lady...

Also, SHE HAS A NAME! Scott let it slip on Facebook and quickly deleted it... but, we will be sharing that soon with everyone. I need a few more days free of people pretending to like it or giving me their opinions! Scott chose it and it's perfect! Anyway, an appointment update and the name reveal will be coming soon!

HOUSE...

We are currently building a house in Fort Worth. This is super exciting and seems to add to the overwhelming feeling of newness in our lives. Plus, since it will be done *hopefully* in mid-June, I will be super pregnant and unable to help move... Hooray! It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that is just perfect for us and for baby! Her nursery is huge and I am looking forward to spending the hot Texas summer days inside getting it ready for her!

BASIC INFO...

I started this blog a little late, so I thought I would catch everyone up to speed with things we know thus far:

+ We were VERY surprised when we found out! I have been told for years that conceiving a baby on my own was just never going to happen, and to that I say:
God trumps medicine every time.

+ My grandmother passed away a few days after we found out. I did, with the help of my Aunt Sylvia, get to tell her. When I did, she opened her eye. One of the most precious comforts in the world is knowing that Mommom is looking out for our tiny little growing life. And, yes, the baby will be named after her, she was the single coolest person I've ever met and I got to be her granddaughter!

+ There is only ONE baby growing in there. I, along with my highly skilled doctors, are sure of it, so from now on anyone who asks will be posed with the oh-so-awkward question of "Why do you think I am fat?"

+ It is in fact a GIRL baby! I know everyone has a story of 'So-and-So was supposed to be a girl..' but I feel like females do exsist so at some point the doctors have to be right!

+ Her due date is technically September 23rd... having said that, I am about 99% sure that is wrong... I just keep saying her due date is all of September :)

These are the basics but there are a lot of other things going on (building a house, trip to Vegas, sickness, feeling movement) that I will either post tonight or tomorrow so check back!
